Eleanor has been a long-time resident of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where she resides with her husband Stephen and family. Her new book called The Heart of a Soldier which shares her decorated father’s letters home during World War II and her parents’ love story set against historic highlights and issues of World War II was recently published. She has also written and recently released a children’s book called When D is For Deployed which is based on her granddaughter’s experiences following her Daddy’s deployment, highlighting positivity for children facing a parent’s deployment. Eleanor plans to donate a portion of the proceeds from When D is For Deployed to the Gary Sinise Foundation which assists veterans and their families.
